  • Leader on 1998 SEC conference championship team

  • Excellent career totals in hits (154), runs scored (164), batting average (.396), runs batted in (97), and total bases (203)

  • Received scholarships to play 2 years at Shawnee College and 2 years at Southern Illinois University

Mary Davidson

  • Outstanding four year starter in softball

  • Leader on three consecutive SEC conference championships

  • Selected All-SEC conference 2 times

  • Holds single season record for most stolen bases (78) and runs scored (70)

  • Holds career stolen base record (191), and runs scored record (193)

  • Ranks 3rd all-time in base on balls (86)

  • Ranks 4th all-time in home runs (17)

  • Perfect career stolen base pct. (1.000) 191-191

  • Member of first girls regional championship in school history

  • 4 year softball record of 82-7

  • Participated on first basketball team, ran on track team and was cheerleader for two years at VHS

  • After high school has been an advocate for disabled adults and also a special olympics advocate

Maranda (Chance) Merchant

  • Outstanding three sport star in volleyball, softball, and basketball

  • In basketball ranks 3rd all-time in field goals made (565), 4th all-time in scoring (1403), and 2nd all-time in steals (290)

  • Helped lead team to 2011 regional championship

  • Basketball record over 4 years was 83-46

  • Senior year was selected MVP in volleyball, basketball, and softball as well as most valuable athlete

  • Four year starter in softball with career batting average of .399

  • During softball career amassed 151 hits, scored 141 runs, and had an on base percentage of .523

  • Two sport standout in college playing softball and basketball at Southeastern Illinois College and Morthland College
