Mark Bean
Class of 1975
4 year varsity starter in baseball and 3 year starter in basketball.
Basketball team won 69 games 1973-75 including 1975 Regional Title.
Never lost a varsity basketball game to Metropolis including two wins in 75 when Metropolis was ranked 2nd in State.
Scored 1227 points and had 696 rebounds and 178 steals in career.
Scored 49 points in one game.
All- Conference 3 years in baseball. Won 15 games on mound senior year.
Received combination baseball-basketball scholarship to Kentucky Wesleyan.
Completed baseball career as a two-year letterman at Murray State.

Brad Davis
Class of 1978
Led baseball team to State Semifinals in 1978.
Holds season records for games pitched (28) innings pitched (143 2/3) and strikeouts (230).
Lowest earned run average for season at 0.78.
Best season record of 20-1 and overall career record of 45-5 on mound.
Holds game record for strikeouts with 19 and consecutive strikeouts with 13.
Hold career win record of 45 and career strikeout record with 459.
Outstanding basketball player as well.

Neil Martin
Class of 1976
Led VHS to basketball regional titles in 1975 and 1976.
Scored 407 points in Junior year and 556 in Senior year.
Scored 1080 points in career.
MVP in basketball and baseball in 1975 and 1976.
All State in baseball in 1976.
Hit .421 in 1976 and is considered one of the Best All0Time Hitters in school history holding career home run record for many years.
Played baseball at the University of Illinois.

Sara (Vaughn) Partridge
Class of 1999
Broke and still holds five softball records, 5 season records, and 1 career record.
MVP Senior Year (1999).
Highest batting average sophomore, junior, and senior year.
1st team SEC Conference Junior and Senior year.
All South softball team sophomore, junior, and senior year.
Led team to 2 Regional and 2 Conference Championships.
Played at John A. Logan College.

Tonya (Cole) Frehner
Class of 1994
Led 1993 Basketball team to Sweet 16 finish and 1994 team to undefeated regular season.
All Time single season leader in points per game averaging 24.0 in 93-94.
Hold record for most field goals in season with 218.
1271 career points which is 4th All-Time.
Played on 2 State Tourney softball teams which finished 3rd and 4th in the State.
Named to All-Tournament team at the State Tournament in 1994.
Played at John A. Logan College 2 years and finished her final 2 years at Blackburn College leading them in scoring senior year.
