Starting forward on 1943 Regional Championship team.
As youth league coach in 60's & 70's, developed the nucleus of the high school programs in both baseball & softball.
Played 3rd base for high school team and shortstop for the S.I.U. Salukis.
Outstanding 880 runner in Track.
Served on the Vienna High School Board.

Mattie Ross
Class of 1995
Pitched softball team to 4 Regional Championships & 2 Sectional Championships during her high school career.
Team won 3rd place in state in 1995 & 4th place in 1994.
Had 84-15 pitching record- team was 157-28.
Struck out 852 batters during career.
Basketball team was 92-15 & won 4 Regional & 1 Sectional Championships.
1087 career points in basketball.
Holds 3 pt records for game (9), season (79), & career (152).
Pitched 4 years at University of Evansville.

James T. Wilson
Coach & Athletic Director
Coached 1971 through 1979 winning 2 of the schools 5 Regional Championships.
Coached undefeated regular season team in 1973.

Athletic Director for 8 years.
Baseball coach 2 years- won District Championship in 1973.
Led VHS into an era of Athletic prestige during the decade of the 70's.
