The Student Council serves as a form of school government, deciding on certain things the school board might entitle to them. The student council is also in charge of the annually homecoming, they decorate the gym, are in charge of the elections, set up the coronation and afterward dance, spirit week, and many other tasks that the homecoming requires. Fundraisers are another part of the student councils' duties, such as the Fazoli's Spaghetti Dinner, the proceeds from these money raising activities are given to the Relay-for-Life and other community activities. The council acts as "ambassadors" of the school and their class, they attend school activities (i.e. Open House, homecoming). The council also oversees all school elections.
